That being said, no i did not measure anything or read more reviews like i should have. If you are like me, i just saw it and assumed. Still a cute shelf thing for other knick knacks and such for the price point. Easy to assemble and the blue is way prettier than the pics show

Directions have the bolts showing on the inside, but they can be assembled to have them on the backside. Not sure why anyone would want the hardware showing. Also the stickers on the shelves take the paint off so be careful.

I was happy to see that this shelf unit used screws instead of dowels to hold the dividers in place. I had a bad experience with another brand where the cheap little dowels broke and ruined the shelves. This unit is not real sturdy nor is it very heavy, but it works great in small places and is going to be a great help in my quest to get better organized. I will probably buy at least one more of these units.

Screws do not sit flush with the surface of the boards, which is frustrating if you’re displaying it like I do (3 small cubes on the bottom), this could potentially scratch/dent book covers if you’re not careful. The stickers help a lot, but I will probably end up padding the surfaces with raised screws with pieces of cardstock/something similar.
